The Virgin Islands is that place you can travel to where you can feel like home. The USVI is under American governance, with a distinctly Caribbean feeling, from its beautiful tropical scenery to the laid-back attitude of its friendly locals. The USVI thrives on an array of things to eat, see, and do as diverse as its people, many of whom can claim a mix of African, Danish, East Indian, and Spanish ancestry. Rich in history, culture, and natural beauty, USVI is an idyllic paradise waiting to be explored. Other islands that make up the USVI are St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix which can be found under the section islands.
An other island that is a must see:
Water Island - offers a superb opportunity to relax and enjoy a laid back vacation. Small residential island with accommodation that caters to vacationers. A vacation on Water Island can consist of relaxing on the beach, kayaking, hiking, fishing and exploring the shoreline at the Limestone, exploring remains of military fortifaction or even a movie night on the beach. One of the uniqueness of Water Islands there is no taxis, public transportation, shops, gas station or a main town. There is a ferry that operates between St. Thomas and Water Island.
